The 2015 Uptown Art Stroll Kick-Off
Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) 2015 Uptown Arts Stroll Kick-Off, honoring Andrea Arroyo, Eduardo Gómez, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Ty Jones.
Through the month of June, the Uptown Arts Stroll will showcase the arts, artists, and the rich cultural venues throughout Upper Manhattan. Since 2003, the month-long festival promotes the works of artists in all disciplines, and the many community attractions in Hamilton and Washington Heights, and Inwood.
About the Honorees:
Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tony Award winner and the star of Hamilton, which hits the Broadway stage this July.
Ty Jones, Broadway actor and Producing Artistic Director of the Classical Theatre of Harlem.
Andrea Arroyo, Global Citizen Award Artist with artwork in permanent collections at the Smithsonian Institute and Library of Congress.
Eduardo Gómez, Website Specialist at UN Women and founder of the ground-breaking Washington Heights & Inwood (WaHI) Online community website.
The 12th annual Uptown Arts Stroll is a month-long festival, celebrating arts and culture in Washington Heights, Inwood and West Harlem. The kick-off is hosted by Broadway Housing Communities and its soon-to-open Sugar Hill Children’s Museum, and the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance.
