Story Time: Tales on Sugar Hill with Alexander Elisa

Come celebrate the Caribbean! Inspired by the Museum's latest exhibition Relational Undercurrents: Contemporary Art of the Caribbean Archipelago, our in-house talent Alexander Elisa will bring to life a story of hope and community, seasoned with Caribbean flavor and celebrating the culture of the region. Join us for this unique performance followed by engaging art-making activities based on the same themes. About Story Time: Tales on Sugar Hill Grounded in a curatorial mission to share stories through theater, music, dance and visual art, as well as oral and literary forms, Story Times: Tales on Sugar Hill presents tales, fables, histories and myths that genuinely reflect the diverse ethnic and cultural milieu of our surroundings. Held every second Saturday of each month, each presentation includes a participatory art activity facilitated by teaching artists, so children not only experience other’s stories, but also reflect on what they see and hear, and create and share their own stories.
