Dedicated to Tito Matos!
Our popular March Is Music concert series is back with a new lineup of multi-genre artists for in-person concerts with digital livestream option. Classical, jazz, folk, and fusion styles are all in the mix. The monthlong series is dedicated in loving memory of Héctor “Tito” Matos (1968-2022), a giant of Puerto Rican plena percussion and culture. All concerts will be presented live at one of the most vibrant performance venues in all of New York City: Pregones Theater, located at 575 Walton Avenue, just steps off the 2, 4, and 5 trains in The Bronx, a.k.a. The Borough of Music (“El condado de la música”). Series curated by Latinx artists with an ear for what’s lasting and what’s new. Only March 4th to 27th, 2022.
