The Laundromat Project's Print Change - Afterschool program at The Brotherhood/Sister Sol
“Print Change” is a course that teaches students how to silkscreen and print linocuts, among other printmaking techniques. Students visit local museums and artist studios to support what they are learning in the classroom. The course addresses the role printmaking has played in the history of political resistance and protest, and resources youth with tools to illustrate their perspectives on pressing issues in their neighborhood. High schoolers attending The Brotherhood/Sister Sol’s Liberation Program took this course in Winter 2014/15 and high schoolers from Brooklyn Community Arts in Media will take this course in Spring 2015.
