Hiram Maristany in East Harlem
ANCHOR opens in East Harlem: Wednesday, March 25th 6-9PM
A historic occasion, ANCHOR is an exhibition centered on the work of Hiram Maristany whose work documented East Harlem throughout the 1960's-1970's. He was an original member and the official photographer of the Young Lords Party. This unique exhibition features some never before seen photographs and will also include new projects from artists Nicole Cohen, Selena Kimball, Miguel Luciano, Steven Perez, Saul Williams, and Caroline Woolard, each inspired by Hiram's photography.
