Forum for Social Action
The Forum for Social Action is a first step toward coming together as a people and working toward actionable change in our communities. This is a space where all participants will contribute to arriving at solutions that are workable in our lives, and leave with next steps. This is not a one-time event. There will be a series of Forums held at various locations around the city. As we decide on courses of action, we will continue to come together to report out, share on a public level, work collectively through challenges, and celebrate successes. Join a community of educators, artists, community organizers, advocates and activists of all sorts to begin to consider how we can create transformative environments . Workshops will focus on the arts, education and community organizing as ways of creating positive change, and will include topics such as: How to weave social justice principles into everyday classroom curriculum How to get involved in local politics Public Art Project Development
